Bunions

by admin on October 31, 2011

Bunions are a common problem with the foot. They are an enlargement of the first metatarsophalangeal joint and are usually associated with hallux valgus or hallux abducto valgus. The pain from bunions is either due to pressure from the footwear or from arthritis like changes in side the joint. Depending on the source of the pain will direct the treatment. The only real way to make a bunion go away is via surgery.
