Kohlers disease is an uncommon problem of the navicular bone in the feet of children. It occurs when there is some sort of problem with the vascular supply to the bone leaving it prone to damage and deformity. The child will present with pain and some swelling over the area and they may limp. The treatment is 6 to 8 weeks in a cast followed by the use of foot supports to protect the bone.
